Not even the Grinch could resist getting into the festive spirit when he joined Disney’s Stitch, Sponge Bob, Rudolph reindeer and various elves among others for this year’s Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity’s (LTHC’s) annual Jingle Bell Jog family fun run on Sunday!
The one-mile run on the track at Preston’s UCLAN Sports Arena raised just under £1,000 for LTHC’s Children’s Fund, which spends the donations its receives on equipment and play items to make children’s hospital appointments and stays more welcoming and comfortable.
LTHC fundraiser Lucy Clark said: “A massive thank you to the 100 or so people who turned out to run and cheer runners on. Everyone had really made an effort to come in costume, which definitely added the fun to the run and made it super festive.
“Special thanks to our sponsor 360 Ambulance Ltd, whichworks with the NHS to provide additional ambulance support. It sent an ambulance crewed by dinosaurs! Fulwood fire station sent a crewed fire engine and Mascots Delight, of Preston, had the Grinch and Stitch, who looked especially handsome in his Christmas costume, stop by to high five our runners, who also met with Santa.”
