Our Charity Family

We are proud to work alongside two other charities that make up our Charity family at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports world-class cancer treatment, care and research for patients across Lancashire and South Cumbria, while Baby Beat supports babies, mums and mums-to-be cared for by maternity services at our hospitals.

Together, our charities help fund projects, equipment and support that go above and beyond NHS funding for patients, families and staff.

Baby Beat

Baby Beat supports maternity, neonatal and gynaecology services across Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, helping to give babies the very best start in life. Everything we fund is additional to what the NHS provides and makes a real difference to local families.

With the vital support of Baby Beat, maternity services at Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley & South Ribble Hospital are at the forefront of new technology. We are proud to support mothers and babies from across Central Lancashire, as well as families from Lancashire and South Cumbria who receive specialist care in the neonatal unit at Royal Preston Hospital.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports the provision of world class cancer treatment throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria, working in partnership with local clinical staff to achieve the best possible care for cancer patients whether they be treated  here at Royal Preston Hospital or at one of the further seven local cancer units we support – Chorley, Blackpool, Burnley, Blackburn, Lancaster, Kendal and Barrow.

We seek to do this by:

  • Funding cutting-edge equipment to help clinicians remain at the forefront of the fight against cancer.
  • Supporting services and projects aimed at taking the fear out of cancer for patients and their loved ones during their treatment, making it as comfortable and stress free as possible.
  • Backing local research projects that help improve our understanding of cancer, and how it can be better diagnosed and treated.
