Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity
Raising funds for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust to give patients the best possible care ✨🧡
We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who took part in the annual Scooter Selection Box Run yesterday, delivering a mountain of selection boxes as well as other gifts for our young patients at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust- Paediatrics! 🛵🎄🌟
This year saw another fab turnout as Norman Hunter and members of Scooter Clubs from across the area came together to take part in the long-established tradition for our hospitals. 🧡🙌
Norman said: ‘We’ve been doing this for many years now, and I’m always blown away with how well it’s supported by scooter clubs and solo riders from all over Lancashire.
It’s amazing that people also get their workmates involved and some workplaces give us lots of boxes. Seeing the hundreds of selection boxes and other gifts stacked up at the hospital always looks fantastic.
Huge thanks to everyone involved, including all the scooter riders and everyone that donated something, staff at the Yew Tree Walton le Dale who host the event every year, and the hospital staff who work hard to make this happen. Merry Christmas one and all, thank you, it’s genuinely appreciated.’
Our charity team will be distributing the selection boxes across the children's clinic, children's ward, children's A&E and children's outreach clinics across both Chorley and Preston, and the reaction has been just amazing from all the staff and patients. The kindness and generosity shown is just incredible! 🥰

We’d like to share a BIG thank you to everyone who took part in our very first Jingle Bell Jog at UCLan Sports Arena last weekend. We’re delighted that the event was a huge success, raising over £1,000 with sponsorship still coming in! 🎅🏻🙌🤩
The 1-mile, family-friendly run saw over 70 supporters attend on the day, in some fantastic festive fancy dress costumes, to fundraise for our Children’s Appeal at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust!
Every penny of sponsorship raised will help us to make a difference and create a more calming and enjoyable hospital stay for the 10,000+ children and young people cared for at our hospitals 🧡
A special thank you to PSP Paediatric & Neuro Rehabilitation for sponsoring the event and to Preston City Ghostbusters and Lightning And Friends for adding some extra fun to the day! 🥰
Our Jingle Bell Jog is going to be a regular in the charity’s fundraising diary – so if you missed out, make sure you sign up next year to take part! ... See MoreSee Less
