Staff Member, Alison Capstick, and her partner Dan took on this year’s Great North Run to raise funds for Royal Preston Hospitals Critical Care Unit.
A cause extremely close to Alison’s heart, the last 18 months has seen herself and staff members work tirelessly, giving people the best possible chance through the covid-19 pandemic.
One of the largest in the North West, the Royal Preston Critical Care Team treat more than 1600 each year by providing intensive treatment and close monitoring of patients who are seriously ill. For that, we thank you #teamcritcare!
Alison wanted to raise funds and provide the staff and patients with those added extras to make a difference to the families and patients that unfortunately find themselves in the unit.
That amount will make a huge impact to provide a more welcoming, calming and comfortable environment for families staying close to their loved ones. The funds will also help with additional patient and training equipment, making sure staff members remain at the forefront of care.
Thank you and well done to Alison and Dan…we hope your legs have now recovered.
