Over 60 young patients use the space each week and thanks to charitable donations, as well as the enthusiasm of the Orthopaedic Paediatric Clinic team, the waiting area is now a friendlier space for patients and their parents/guardians to spend time.

 

The new charity funded additions include a wall mounted TV and children’s toys, which have been welcomed by the team who are extremely passionate about offering their patients the best possible outcome and experience whilst receiving treatment. 

 

Many of the patients who will use the space will be visiting the facilities repeatedly as they have long term disabilities such as spinal diseases and chronic hip problems, so it is crucial the experience they have is positive and engaging as this will increase their engagement with treatment and healthcare professionals.
