Aimed at supporting paediatric patients who present to health professionals in mental health crisis or struggling with their mental health, the kits contain distraction tools, self-harm diaries, safe plans, contact numbers, signposting to useful external websites and important information for parents/guardians. These kits are provided whilst patients are being cared for in hospital but are also intended as an added level of support when they are discharged, aiding recovery, and aiming to prevent future hospital admissions.
