Ladbrokes and Coral make massive LTHC donation

Staff from 315 northern high street branches of Ladbrokes and Coral, owned by Entain, have banded together to raise a staggering £45,518.28 for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity (LTHC).

They raised their incredible donation over the final quarter of last year – October to December 2025 – organising colleague sponsored walks, Halloween events, football weekends and supporting November’s World Kindness Day among other activities.

Their representatives, including seven of the territory’s 14 area managers, then travelled from as far north as Carlisle and Newcastle and as far south as Leeds and Grimsby to LTHC’s office in the foyer of the Royal Preston Hospital to present the funds.

LTHC’s fundraiser Lucy Clark said: “When Ladbrokes and Coral contacted us last October to say its northern branches were coming together to support us, we were blown away, especially when we were told they had set themselves a target of reaching £20,000.

“To be contacted again a couple of weeks ago and told that they had achieved a final total, which had more than doubled that amount, was just incredible.”

Lucy added: “We will be able to do so much good with this amount of money in terms of enhancing services for the thousands of patients treated annually at the Royal Preston and Chorley and South Ribble Hospitals. We are so grateful to everyone at Ladbrokes and Coral for all their effort and support.”

Chris Singleton, of Ladbrokes and Coral’s parent company Entain, and one of the area managers driving this fundraising effort, said: “I’m incredibly proud of our colleagues for coming together to support Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity. Their enthusiasm, generosity and sense of community have been inspiring from start to finish.

“This fundraising milestone is a testament to what can be achieved when people unite behind a cause that truly matters. Knowing that the money raised will directly support patients, families and staff across our local hospitals makes this achievement even more meaningful.”
