Fundraising from Home
Anytime during 2020
Where: Your House!
Although many of our charity fundraising events have sadly been postponed there’s still lots of ways to fundraise for your local hospital charity, from the comfort of your own home!
Here is your chance to add a bit of fun to your day whilst making a difference to those who need it the most, by using your extra time spent at home to complete a fundraising challenge.
From virtual runs to a sponsored head shave, have some fun with your ideas and get inventive! Take a look at our ideas below for some fundraising inspiration…
Sponsored head shave
With hairdressers and barbers currently closed due to social distancing, how about ‘braving the shave’ and raising important funds for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity! All you need to do is pick a date, ask your friends and family to sponsor you and don’t forget to get the camera ready for some fabulous before and after photos!
If your birthday or a special anniversary is coming up soon you could set up a fundraiser on our Facebook page and ask family and friends to make a donation, instead of buying you a card or present. If you would normally be having a party to mark the occasion you could contribute some extra money to the fundraiser as well!
Teddy Bear’s picnic
Hosting a virtual Teddy Bear’s picnic is a lovely opportunity to get the kids excited about fundraising, whilst being a fun way to virtually catch up with friends and family. Use houseparty or zoom and ask everyone taking part to make a small donation towards our charity. The kids can also have fun baking some delicious cakes for the picnic!
Virtual sporting event
Taking part in some daily exercise is really important at the moment, so why not turn your daily exercise into a fundraising event! From laps of your garden, to walking the distance of the Three Peaks up and down your stairs, there’s so many different ways to get those steps in!
Once you’ve chosen your virtual challenge you can set up your justgiving fundraising page here: www.justgiving.com/lancashireteachinghospitals
If you have a virtual fundraising idea then we would love to hear from you! Please contact our Fundraising Co-ordinator Roya Armstrong who can offer any advice and support along the way.
