Staff areas of Ward 23 at Royal Preston Hospital have been transformed
Project cost: £5,000
The staff areas of Ward 23 at Royal Preston Hospital have been transformed from tired and underused spaces, into a comforting place where colleagues can take some much needed time out.
Ward 23 is a high dependency respiratory ward which expanded to 34 beds during the Covid 19 pandemic. Although many members of staff right across the trust have been deeply affected by the lasting impact of Covid 19, this project aimed to offer a much needed morale boost to the teams who often care for some of the poorliest patients with complex needs.
By supporting projects like this which have a positive impact on the well-being and experiences of staff, we in turn help to ensure the treatment and care patients and visitors receive is of the highest possible standard.
